RockSchool landing

What is RockSchool?

Mission statement: RockSchool aims to provide youth members of both Scouts Australia, and Girl Guides Australia an opportunity to enjoy adventurous rock activities and develop skills in a controlled environment.

It is a place where youth and adults can learn and practice abseiling (vertical) skills. It is run on the first Saturday of the month. We usually make use of a natural Girl Guide Campsite called Noorumba located in a valley to the west of Sutherland NSW.

The Abseiling Activity Day Program is designed for groups of Cubs, Scouts, Junior Guides and their Leaders. This is an introduction to abseiling, and an opportunity to learn some basic skills.

A parallel program for regular attendees, the Advanced Vertical Skills Workshop Program, provides a framework for Venturers, Rovers, Senior Guides, Leaders and other adults in Scouting to become competent in advanced vertical mobility skills.
